
Marcelle Naman, PhD
Naman is a graduate of the University of South Çàɬֱ²¥ with a Bachelor of Arts in tourism and commercial recreation with a minor in business administration as well as a Masters of Arts in public relations and communications. She received a PhD in global leadership with a specialization in organizational leadership from Troy University. Her dissertation focused on change management for Catholic pastors.
Naman brings a rich background to the Mitchell College that includes thirty years as the Director of Development for St. Mary Parish in Mobile, Çàɬֱ²¥, and as an adjunct professor at Spring Hill College since 2013. In addition to her experience in academics, she is a committed volunteer and leader for a number of area charitable organizations including Catholic Social Services, the McGill-Toolen Catholic High School St. Thecla Women’s Society Board, the Drug Education Council and Our Sisters Closet.
Naman's extensive background in nonprofit management and development, where she gained a strong foundation in strategic communication, planning, fundraising, and recruitment, adds a vibrant layer to the Mitchell College's faculty. Her industry and leadership experience will serve as a powerful resource for students, providing them with a real-world perspective and the skills they need to succeed in their future careers.
